Healthy eating is a key way of maintaining normal blood sugar levels between 60 and 110 as well as norma HbA1c levels  of 6% or less is normal.
The following are the results when the HbA1c is being used to diagnose diabetes:
•Normal: Less than 5.7%
•Pre-diabetes: 5.7% to 6.4

I decided not to discard it because it looks great I guess, even though it came from trial and error.

  1. Hi Ugo,
Great job on the infographic. While researching infographics, I noted that one of the features of good infographic design is that the infographic answers a single question. Your infographic answers the question "what are complications from diabetes?". The information is complete, sourced properly, and easy to understand. Well done!

  2. Thanks Angie,
You know it's you and Brenda that led me out of the woods in this one. It took me so long to complete it because I decided to add as many nice touches to it as possible, and I enjoyed the new discoveries that have been lying unused in my computer.
By the way, when I uploaded it to Google Doc, it did not come out as beautiful as it is on Microsoft Word anymore. Any hints on that?

  3. Angie makes a good point above, plus I liked how the panels were arranged around a central tile. However, the pictures did not seem to have an obvious enough connection with each complication and the text in the bottom panel was falling off the page. Maybe that was part of the loss from MS Word?

  4. You know what Karen, I have tried all I could to remove the text in the bottom panel that is falling off the page, but so far, I have seen no head way yet. As for the pictures, maybe I should not have, hut I put them there just to show healthy eating and not necessarily as matching the complications. Anyway, we learn as we go.

  5. Hi Ugo,

Looking good! Text unclear on a couple of the pictures, yet nevertheless you have done a good job.

  6. Hi Brenda,
Thanks too for that phone call with you and Angie that got me through this. You may try zooming in to see the text clearly and just as I mentioned to Karen, I will continue to work on it to see how I will remove the text that is hanging down on the last box at the bottom.
