Hi Ugo, You produced a wonderful video! The content was thorough and properly sourced. The video and audio was quite clear. The CC scrolled across the page at a rate that I could follow. And the music at the end was a nice touch. I don't cook, but the food looks great. I may have to actually turn on the oven and try it! Well-done.
Angie, Thanks for your kind words. As you can see, it's a lot of work, but I enjoyed every bit of it. The only thing I could not handle is getting all my spoken words out at the beginning of some of the captions. I tried several times to fast forward/slow it down but I gave up after a while. I'm glad you are considering giving my recipe a trial, confirming that this is a successful teaching tool for me. And yes, not only my diabetic patients, we all need to eat healthy!
Ugo, I love your accent! Your video was very interesting, The content was expressed clear and concise. The action shots of your cooking were well done and added realism for the viewer. Great job!
Thanks for your encouraging words, Stacy. Actually I was so nervous that I mispronounced some of the "big" words that I would naturally have no problems with. And I just could not redo the video to fix it because I may get more nervous. I'm sure that my next one in future will be better spoken. As for the cooking, I do this everyday so it is a natural thing that would come to me to do. Are you hoping to try it too?
You have done and fantastic job with your video. It is clear and informative. The close caption is synchronized perfectly to your voice audio. Your voice is calm and clear. Once again, good job.
Thanks Brenda, That class get together we had with Elena really helped as we all shared good ideas on how to make this happen. Thanks also for answering and sharing each time I called, even though you had much in your own plate due to unforeseen technical hitches.
When are we going over to eat? Good job on the video. You captured the process you were aiming for. I think that a couple of more shots or scenes a few feet back to include you in the shot could have added more perspective shots to the video. I actually found the continuous scroll across the screen difficult because if I would direct attention to the video I would lose my spot.
Hello Kevin, you are welcome to come over and eat anyday; just let me know when you and your lovely family can come by; I cook all the time:). See, I did not want to show myself in the video just not to be overly nervous and making mistakes, especially since that would warrant starting all over again with getting my used up ingredients ready and all that. Now that I know that I can pull it off, I will definitely show off next time that I do this. As for the close caption, I chose the rolling option because that was what I mainly saw on Youtube. It does not hurt at all to do the still one next time. Your suggestions are sure noted for future works.
Ugo, You really made this look easy. As for how we can just cook up a batch of veggies. Well, I would like it better if you did it! I have just started adding quinoa to my diet (replacing oats). You video is great; sound, colors, it looks like a professional! (Ugo "the nurse martha stewart"). The music and final shots were an added surprise. Very entertaining and enjoyable to watch and listen. Way to go!
Hi Loretta, I'm glad you are now using quinoa. I happen to prefer the taste of red quinoa (which I think is more nutritious) than the white one. Yes, the CC video was quite intimidating but after I got the hint from that our class get together that I could use iMovie, I am amazed at my own production, even though it took so much planning and doubts and thinking and trials and errors and ...!!!
If only you can overlook my "ACCENT ...(>_<)!!!"

Hi Ugo,
ReplyDeleteIn notice on your home page the picture of the glucometer has been removed. It had added a nice professional touch to your blog.
